Fish in a Tree 4 stars 20/24 points

Fish in a Tree is a great book. Its characters are organized. I could picture them in detail. Fish in a Tree has originality. An interesting phrase from the book was the “island of misfit toys.” There was a clear path from the beginning to the end, making you cry, laugh, and feel what Ally felt. The language in the book was interesting and quite often sarcastic. For example, it is said that it is the “shock of the century when Shay raises her hand.” But in the book, it was often hard to interoperate the character traits. I give Fish in Tree 4 stars.

Fish in a Tree 4 stars 20/24 rubric rating

I gave this book a 4 star rating and 20 out of 24 rubric rating. This is why I gave it this rating. In the interest in some places it was interesting but in other places it wasn’t. The interesting parts were when Ally was running for class president and when Shay’s entire friend turns on her. The setting was good, but it did not give awesome details. In some places the settings were bad like the school Ally went to and her mom’s job. The characters were super interesting. The characters were different and that is what I liked. Albert was the smart kid Keisha was a baker and Ally was the kid who works hard. The originality was good but some books are like this book. These books are Wonder and Percy Jackson. All of the main characters had a disorder. This is why I gave it a 4 star rating.

Fish In A Tree 24/24 5/5 stars
I read an amazing book called Fish In A Tree. It is about a girl that has dyslexia. She has trouble learning to read and she has fooled every teacher by misbehaving but, when she gets her newest teacher Mr. Daniels things start to change. He relizes her dyslexia and helps her learn to read. I gave this book five stars out of five stars and the rubric rating twenty four out of twenty four because it was organized, it had originality. I loved getting to know the characters, the setting really set the mood, and it was of great intrest . It was very organized and everything flowed together also, everything was understandable. It was of great interest which made it hard to put the book down especially the part when Mr. Daniels found out Ally had dyslexia. The setting really set the mood especially Mr. Daniel’s class and A.C Petersons farm it was also very relevant. The characters were amazing and the author really explained them like how Ally has dyslexia. It was very original I have never read anything like it. I really hope that more people read this book especially if they have trouble reading.

Fish in a Tree 4/5 stars 22/24 points
I really liked the book Fish in a Tree because the plot language, organization, setting, and characters are all amazing. The sentences are all organized very well. For example, I was having so much fun helping Travis clean the wind shield , then we came to a red light and he told me to look at the car next to us. So I did, the lady driving the car had a shocked look on her face I laughed. Then I saw Shay sitting next to her. Exactly how I said it this book was awesome. This is why I give Fish in a Tree 4/5 stars.

Fish in a Tree 5 stars 24/24
This book is a great book because… This book has a good interest since the characters are all different. They have Shay and Jessica who are negative towards Ally. As an example they call Ally stupid or dumb when it comes to reading and writing. They also have Keisha, Albert, and Mr. Daniels who are positive towards Ally. As evidence they all say that she can do it when things seem impossible to Ally by showing her she is very talented. This book has good characters because the characters are lifelike. It is lifelike since it feels like you are a classmate by the way the story makes it seem like you are Keisha or Albert, you want Ally to win. The setting is good because it all sets the mood by describing the environment. The plot language is great because the words they use makes the reader think and want to keep reading. That is why I gave it five stars and a twenty four rating.

Fish in a Tree
Rubric rating: 23/24
5 stars
In Fish in a Tree by Linda Mully Hunt, The main character, Ally, is having school problems. This book was so interesting that I read it 2 times! One of the most interesting parts was when Ally was able to figure out the shoebox problems, especially the glue stick one. Another interesting part was when Albert was naming all of the letters that are the same forwards and backwards like O, Y, V, X, M, W, l, and I. In this book one of the major places is A.C. Petersons. I like this place because it always feels calm when Ally is there because Shay usually isn’t. Another important part is the classroom, even though it is an unwelcoming place, at least if you’re dyslexic. Fish in a Tree has a lot of very good characters, but Ally and Albert stood out the most. I like Ally because she was courageous and always stood up for her friends, like when she broke her flowers for Keisha. I liked Albert because he’s nice and always has a story to tell, like when he compared the bullies to Ellis Island. Most of the book was original, but I think it’s kind of like Wonder. A unique part of the book is that Ally compares difficult things in her life to water animals doing water things, like “It’s like trying to explain to a whale what a forest is.” and others. Another unique part is that everybody has something quirky about them, like Max always wants a “PARTY!”, Albert is a “walking Google machine”, and Sukie likes to make things out of wood blocks.
Over all, I gave this book 5 stars because I liked how everybody was unique. I also liked how Ally solved her learning problem. I gave this book a 23/24 rubric rating because this book is difficult to put down, and it was also organized well so that I was interested. The setting enhanced the story, and the characters are memorable even though the book is only somewhat original.

Fish in a Tree 4/5 stars 20/24 rubric rating
What if you were dyslexic? Well, Ally is. Let me tell you about the book Fish in a Tree.
First of all, Fish in a tree is an overall pretty good book. I love how you have to think to connect the title to the book. I also love the details. For example, “He wore a dark suit with colored circles on it.”
On the other hand, there was a little too much going on in this book. It went from a little problem to another little problem. For example, there was the Shay problem, the problem with Albert and the mean boys, the dyslexia problem, and many more tiny problems. I would be good if there was one huge problem, I gave this book a 20/24 because of that, and also because this book reminds me of “A Mango Shaped Space.” I also gave it a 4/5 stars because of that.
As you can see, Fish in a Tree is a pretty good book.

Fish in a Tree 5 Stars 24/24 Points
I give this book five stars because I liked how it tells how Allie’s life went flip-flop from bad to good to bad again. She has some trouble at school but at school she feels perfectly safe. Her troubles at school will soon end…when Mr.Daniels becomes her teacher. Soon she’ll figure out that she is dyslexic and so is…HER EXTREMELY SMART BROTHER TRAVIS! Soon she’ll make some fun friends.

Fish in a Tree 5 stars 22/24
Fish in a Tree is an organized first person point of view where a 6th grader named Ally has trouble reading when her teacher helps, and when I started reading it, I was amazed. What I think what happened in the book was very interesting, it has a great book trailer and is filled with interesting events so I gave this a five star rating. The book has a very interesting part (thanks to the book trailer) that makes you keep reading and making it hard to put down. This book reminds me when I was at school, everyone knew their colors except me (that happened in kindergarten). A few minor problems with this book is that they don’t describe the setting all the time when Ally moves to a different location. Also, it didn’t have that much interesting or figurative language (not throughout the entire story), that is why I rated it 22/24 which is still excellent.
Ally meets some friends and she doesn't feel left out anymore including Jessica and Albert (which is like an android because he is smart), her teacher Mr. Daniels claims her for class president and everyone is proud, even her friends. Ally had no idea she was so lucky. Meanwhile, the bully, Shay gets yelled at from her mother for not being class president. Ha! so funny. I am going to tell you this right now: I LOVE THIS BOOK! I am going to read it again.

Fish In A Tree 4 Stars 20/24 Points
Have you ever heard of a book called Fish in A Tree? I rated this book four stars and 20/24 points. Let me explain why. This book had really good characters. The character Kisha could make words in food! Also the character Ally could figure out the code witch was very interesting. This book was kind of original. I could feel the characters talking to me but not all time. This book reminded me of Because of Anya because she had a problem like Ally. This book had wonderful settings because the settings matched the feelings of the characters. I could feel the sadness when in school the sub said that Ally could draw instead of writing. This book did not interest me too much. I knew almost every word. But I would want to read this book again. As you can see , this is why I rated Fish In a Tree four stars and 20/24 points.

4 ½ stars Fish In A Tree 22/24

What if you had dyslexia but you didn’t know? What if you were bullied because you didn’t know how to read? Ally had to go through that. She is a character from Fish In A Tree. Fish In A Tree is a great book.
I gave this book a 4 ½ star rating and a 22/24 rubric rating. I did this because it has great plot language, characters, organization, and it interested me. It didn’t have a good setting and it wasn’t very original. Here is my evidence: The story went so smoothly. I didn’t misunderstand anything! That proves the books organization. The story interested me very much. The text says, “’I’m only asking for one page describing yourself.’ I can’t think of anything worse than having to describe myself. I’d rather write about something more positive. Like throwing up at your own birthday party.” Why does she think writing about herself is so awful? That hooked me. The main characters are Ally, Albert, and Kiesha. They are very involved in the story and are super interesting. I have read other books where someone has dyslexia, but not many. I gave originality a three. Still, make sure to read Fish In A Tree soon!
