4 and a half stars.
23/24 rating from the rubric.
This book is a"you can't put me down"book.I mean,I love the action when Big Jim and the Logan gang tried to steal Lincoln's body.I also love how it builds up from coney men to grave robbers.I have a text-to-world connection because on June 24,2007, the Chicago Irish gang tried to steal Lincoln's body.I rated it 4 stars because of 1 issue. I would mix up characters like Swegles and Tyrell, and then I would forget some people. In the Cast of Characters, there is 25 people! Just try to remember each, single one! That is also why I rated it 3 in the characters section which added to 23 points. For any other reason, this book is great.Everyone should read this book.

I disagree because the characters are not very well developed.

Rating from rubric 16/24

In the book Lincon's Grave robbers many great " I can't put this down!" moments happen. There are so many characters, but a little too many. I only give it 16/24 because I get lost trying to remeber all the characters. This book is about a plot made by "Big Jim" Kennaly to steal Lincon's body and holding it for ransom. One problem with this book is that it it has been told many times, but I would recomend this book for the Newbery Award

I think the book Linclon's Grave Robbers should get the mock Newberry Award because it gives you the lots of suspense a good story must have. This book is about is about coney men who make counterfit money and try to pass it across the world.Bussnuis is great but when the best counterfit maker gets aressted the coney bussniss is in really bad shape. The workers need to get more money for there jobs so the boss has a new idea :to steal President Lincon's body.I gave this book 22 pionts only because I was a little confused with the orginazation of the book it, kind of swiched points of veiw in the chapters but other then that the book was really good. I really enjoyed this book and I hope you do to .

I think Lincoln's Grave Robbbers is a good book. It gave some facts I didn't know about. It took me a few minutes to get into the book, but when I got into it I couldn't put it down. Because it was like when are they going to steal the body and will Lewis get caught playing a roper? At the catcomb I was practically holding my breathe when Hugh and Mullen were trying to steal Lincoln's body. I couldn't wait to see if they would get caught. Even though I like this book, I wouldn't recomend this book.

This book is very interesting because a real person in handcuffs and tied up jumps ofof a realy fast moving train with two people chasing him in the begining. Later on Lincoln just about gets his grave stolen! This book has been writen in sevreal differrent ways but in different perspectives. I still cannot believe that this book is a true story! Realy, who jumps of a train, who tries to steal Lincolns grave?! Well, Pete McCartney dose jump of a train. I mean only every bone in your body is going to be broken. As far as im concerned, I'm just glad I'm not him. You can't realy develope the characters exept for that they're morons. And that they have no clue what so ever know what they're doing.

I gave this book a***** star rating. I gave this book a 24 out of 24 star rating. I am reading Lincolns grave robber. This book really taught me a bunch. From the beginning to the end from page to page I was learning new facts. But one thing I didn’t like was all of the characters. I liked that at the beginning they started with a train escape one thing I can’t believe is that the story is true. The book was an exciting read.

Lincolns Grave Robbers is about Tyrell, a secret service agent who catches Ben Boyd, the biggest fake money producer in the country. Boyd’s friends then try to rob Lincoln’s grave to get Boyd back and 20,000 dollars so Tyrell hires Swegles as a roper to join the criminal’s gang and provide Tyrell with reports of their progress. I think this book was filled with action and very fast paced. This book constantly kept me interested. It wasn’t boring at all and it had an interesting story to keep you hooked. I think this is an amazing book and although it was short, it was still amazing. However I have a few complaints like it was too confusing once the secret service tried to catch the counterfeiters in the Lincoln monument because if the counterfeiters had the body and the secret service blocked all exits, how did the counterfeiters get out? Why wouldn’t the secret service notice the body dumped on the floor? Besides from that I think this was a great book that should get the Newberry.

Lincolns Grave Robbers
4 stars
21 out of 24
The book Lincolns Grave Robbers by Steve Sheinkin is about when Jack Hughes and Terrence Mullen have a plan to steal Abe Lincolns body. Terrence and Jack think that if they steal the body the family will want to pay money to get it back. Secret Service agent Patrick Tyrell and others want to catch them in the Lincoln Monument that night. When Patrick sneaks in the monument to catch the thieves Terrence and Jack get away. See for yourself if Patrick catches them. The reason I gave this book 4 stars is because it has over 20 characters and that gets confusing .I think that this book should get the Mock Newberry award.

Lincoln’s Grave Robbers **** 19

I think that Lincoln’s Grave Robbers has a good plot language but the book is a bit boring. I gave this book a score of nineteen and four stars. What I like about this book is the plot language, and the organization. Unfortunately it was not of great interest to me. This book had a good description of characters and it has some pictures to show you exactly what they look like.
There were a few things that I loved about this book such as the plot language, characters and the great description. This book is about Lincoln and Coney men that want to steal his body. In this book, the tomb of Lincoln’s grave is described perfectly. It said that his face was pale white with burses all over it. I could imagine everything. I thought that this book was on topic and it was organized well. This was a thumbs up!
There was one thing in this book that I wish was a bit better. The subject matter was not appealing to me. Although the lack of interest is personally based on my opinion, I wish the author had done more to catch my interest at the beginning. Another thing that I was not fond of was that there were too many characters. In the first chapter there were about 12 characters and at the end there were about 23. I had to look back and remember who was who.
I enjoyed reading this book but I do not think this book should get the Newberry Award. This book was not of great interest to me but I liked the plot language, organization, and description.
