Carmen Deedy visited with Gwin Oaks students again for 3 days. She enchanted both teachers and students with the stories she told. She also ate with the 5th grade Cover 2 Cover Book Club.
Diane Z. Shore 2010
Diane Z. Shore visited Gwin Oaks again (her 1st visit was in 2005). She shared her books and poems with the students. Mrs. Shores wrote How to Drive Your Sister Crazy, This is the Dream, This is the Feast, Look Both Ways, Bus-a-saurus Bop and Rosa Loves to Read. She also has poems published in Miles of Smiles

Michael White talked to students about the importance of drawing and how a picture can be the start of a big idea for a story.
